Eco-Efficiency-Ekosteguna Thursdays
The Eco-Efficiency-Ekostegunak Thursdays are workdays organised by Ihobe, where different aspects related to Circular Economy are debated, featuring topics such as the efficiency of resources, waste prevention and management or Eco-Innovation.
Within this framework on Thursday, 18th of November 2021, we participated in the workday entitled “EUROPEAN ECOLOGICAL LABEL. A key instrument in the European Green Deal Market”.
An event where we shared our experience in this sector, since as a pioneer company in Euskadi to obtain the first Ecolabel, we have spent many years adding products with this certificate to our portfolio and during the workday, we encouraged other companies to take the initiative to obtain this label.
In our case, we relied on the use of clean technologies such as green chemistry and biotechnology to create products with the Ecolabel; furthermore, beyond complying with the requirements to obtain this certificate, we implemented new improvements in the product’s entire life cycle, through Ecodesign to achieve products with minimum environmental impact and greater safety for our customers.
This strategy has been highly considered since several of our products with the European Ecolabel have received awards for their major advances in environmental improvement in the prestigious European Awards for Environment.
